Normalmente realizado em PowerPoint, o storyboard é um produto crítico da fase de Desenho dos cursos on-line. Em empresas que desenvolvem muitos cursos ao mesmo tempo, existe o desafio de criar um storyboard prático, que possa ser manipulado por várias pessoas, cada uma delas criando individualmente.

To Storyboard or Not to Storyboard, That is the Question

The storyboard is a crucial tool in the development of e-learning. It helps the Instructional Designer to organize the content in a way that shows the validator what the course will be like and also serves as a bridge between design and development. But just building a storyboard in a way that the client and the designers understand can take quite a while, sometimes demanding the graphics team to jump in early in the project. Experience also shows that the no matter how careful the storyboard is built and how many times it is validated, the client will still have difficulties in wondering what the final result will really look like. This may lead to last-minute adjustments when the course is ready that can crush your project schedule. New ways of accomplishing those tasks can be much faster and more efficient than the traditional storyboard model, and at the same time ensuring the quality of the course will remain as satisfying as ever, if not even better. This topic will discuss ideas that were tested in the real world leading to a faster and more cost-effective design phase without sacrificing the quality of the course.
